Lock Your Bike
A single parent from New Zealand, works really hard to support her three sons. She saves her money and plans for the little luxuries of life.
When her eldest son wanted a bike so he can work as a delivery boy after school, the mother saved up and bought him his bike.
One afternoon, his mother told him to go and buy her something she needed. He rode on his bike and left it outside the store without locking it. When he came out of the store, the bike was gone. He walked home crying all the way. Together with his mother, they went to the police station.
But a pleasant surprise was waiting them. The car parked outside the police station had his bike in the boot. The driver of the car told the mother that he had seen a group of kids go for the bike. The driver, in his early 20′s himself yelled out, ” leave the bike alone!” Ignoring his screaming, one of the kids jumped on the bike and rode it away while the other kids followed him. Not be discouraged, the driver got into his car and drove after them and got the bike back.
He was happy to return it to its rightful owner. The police and his mother gave him a nice talk about locking his bike in future. Then, silently the driver slipped away without giving his name and telephone number.
Who says there are not good people on this earth? This story goes to show, young people are good!
